Argyros Umberto (1882-1963) – Painting work “Little girl with flowers”, is a Greek painting work, oil on cardboard, 60.0 X 43.0 cm.

Biography of the artist:

Argyros Umbertos was born in 1882 in Kavala and was a Greek painter.

Argyros Umberto studied painting from 1900 at the School of Fine Arts, and later, from 1907 to 1911, he continued his studies at the Academy of Munich.

Argyros Umberto returned to Greece in 1929 and was elected full professor of the School of Fine Arts.

Many Greek artists, such as Stefanos Almaliotis, Fotis Zachariou, Telemachos Kanthos, Vlasis Kaniaris, Christos Kapralos, Giannis Moralis, Niki Karagatsi, Nikos Khorimoutidis Chimakis, Thikolas Gianoukis, George Manousakis, studied in the workshop of Argyros Umbertos.

The painter Argyros Umbertos has presented exhibitions in Greece and abroad.

Many paintings by Argyros Umberto are in public and private collections in Greece and abroad, but also in museums and institutions such as the National Gallery, the Municipal Gallery of Larissa.

Umberto died in Athens in Athens in 1963.

Many of the Argyros Umberto works are in many public and private collections in Greece and abroad.

He was a very good and honest artist!
