History:
Canakkale or Dardanelles is a city and port of Turkey, in the Province of Canakkale, and from there these ceramics come. It owes its Turkish name to the famous castles of “Tsanak Kalesi” (meaning Fortress of Tsanaki) from the clay pottery made there since 1740.
