Biography:
Giorgis Sigalas was born in Ai-Stratis in 1954. In 1978 he received a diploma (BA) in painting and engraving from the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, where he had teachers F. Farruli and Acame, Vizzano.
In 1985 he received a D.E.A. Philosophie d’ Art, from the University of Paris I, Pantheon-Sorbonne and in 1988 the Nouneau Doctorate, Arts et Sciences des Artes, Paris I-Sorbonne.
In the period 1980-1996 he taught Visual Arts in Secondary Education, while between the years 1988-1992 he taught Visual Arts in the pedagogical departments of the University of Thessaly.
In the period 1992-1995 he taught Visual Arts at the School of Kindergartens of the University of Athens. From 1984 to 1987 he was a scholarship holder of the IKY in Art Teaching.
In 1977 he won the 1st Circolo ARCI LE TORRI Painting Prize, in Florence. He showed his work in many individual and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
He published more than 30 articles, studies and research on Art, in newspapers and magazines. He wrote a monograph entitled “The Children’s Drawing”.
He was a speaker at Art Education and Visual Arts Conferences and a member of the Organizing Committee at Conferences on Problems of Art Education in Departments of A.E.I. In the period 1998-2009 he was the Advisor for Art Courses of the Pedagogical Institute of the Ministry of Education.
At times he was a member of the Ephorate of the Painting Department and the Education Committee of EETE.
His works are in public and private collections in Greece and abroad.
At the same time he was engaged in Poetry. He died in 2018 at the age of 63.

Shipment / Delivery
The shipping of goods is made within three working days after the payment.
For our shipments we use the Greek Post Office (ELTA).
Shipment can also be made with a way of transfer of your choice, but at your own expense.
After the shipment, we will send an e-mail with the details of the shipment and a barcode, so that you can track your parcel.
You can also collect your orders from our store with no shipping cost.
We inform you that objects of art cannot be returned, unless you have received a wrong order, or an object is damaged during shipment.
