Biography:
Nikos Chouliaras (1940-2015) was a Greek painter, sculptor, writer, poet and songwriter. He was one of the most important modern painters.
Stories of his have been translated into French, Italian, English, Swedish and German, while the collection of short stories “The Bakacock” and the novels “Lucia”, “Life Another Time” have been published in French by the publishing house Hatier. , and “In My Enemy’s House”. In 1996 he was nominated for the European Excellence in Literature with the book “In the house of my enemy”.
He was born in October 1940 in Ioannina. He studied sculpture and scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts from where he graduated in 1967. Alongside painting, he was involved in literature and singing. He wrote poetry, short stories and novels, while he wrote lyrics and composed melodies.
From 1963 he wrote many songs and some of them he sang himself. He also designed book and record covers while he was the first to arrange old Epirotian municipal tunes. His novel “Lucias” was made into a TV series by ET-1 and broadcast in 1989. In 1969 he participated in the Venice Biennale and in the same year was awarded the 1st Virgin Prize.
He has also been awarded several times for his book design work in 1979 and 1983 at the Leipzig International Exhibition. Starting in 1969, he held numerous solo exhibitions in Athens and Thessaloniki, while also participating in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad (Egypt, USA, Spain). In 1996 he was nominated for the European Excellence in Literature with his book “In the house of my enemy”.
He died on July 20, 2015.

Shipment / Delivery
The shipping of goods is made within three working days after the payment.
For our shipments we use the Greek Post Office (ELTA).
