Biography:
Eleftherios K. Venizelos (1864-1936) was a Greek politician who served as Prime Minister of the Cretan State and seven times Prime Minister of Greece.
As a politician he played an important role in the Cretan Question, as well as in the political events of Greece from 1910 until his death in 1936.
He organized the Therisos Movement and in 1910 assumed the prime ministership of the Cretan State, which he left a few months later to assume the prime ministership in Greece at the invitation of the Military League.
He was the political protagonist of the doubling of Greece after the Balkan wars of 1912-1913.
During World War I he supported the Entente, openly disagreeing with the King’s stance of neutrality. Because of this disagreement, although he had been elected prime minister, he resigned, creating the events of the National Divide.
He returned to the prime ministership in 1917-1920 but left Greece after his defeat in the November 1920 elections. He returned in 1924 for a few months and in 1928 was again elected prime minister.
In January 1933 he became prime minister for the last time and in March 1935 after a coup attempt he fled to Paris, where he died.
He was buried on a hill at the beginning of Akrotiri in Crete, near the place where he was born. The Tombs of Venizelos are today one of the attractions of Chania.

For those who prefer the more traditional method, the goods are delivered by the drivers of Lotus Gallery Art or the Greek Post Office (ELTA) or a courier and you pay cash on delivery.

Shipment / Delivery
The shipping of goods is made within three working days after the payment.
For our shipments we use the Greek Post Office (ELTA).

You can also collect your orders from our store with no shipping cost.
We inform you that objects of art cannot be returned, unless you have received a wrong order, or an object is damaged during shipment.
