Biography:
Major General Gerasimos Metaxas (1810-1890) was a Greek soldier of the 19th century.
He was born in 1810. His origin was from the historical house of Metaxades. His father was Count Metaxas, and his uncle Andreas Metaxas.
He was educated at the Military School of Euelpides, and continued his military studies in Paris for four years. In 1854 he formed his own corps and was ready to march on Kalambaka, but was prevented by the occupation.
Metaxas became a member of the delegation that went to Copenhagen to offer the crown of Greece to King George. At the time of the annexation of the new provinces of Thessaly and Arta in 1881, he was sent as chairman of the commission, which drew the new borders of Greece.
He was honored with many awards. He died on December 30, 1890. His son was Nikolaos Metaxas.

Shipment / Delivery
The shipping of goods is made within three working days after the payment.
For our shipments we use the Greek Post Office (ELTA).
Shipment can also be made with a way of transfer of your choice, but at your own expense.

You can also collect your orders from our store with no shipping cost.
We inform you that objects of art cannot be returned, unless you have received a wrong order, or an object is damaged during shipment.
