Biography:
Rorris was born in Kosmas Kynourias in 1963.
George Rorris studied Painting at the School of Fine Arts with professors Panagiotis Tetsis and Giannis Valavanidis (1982-1987).
Rorris continued his studies at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris with professor Leonardo Cremonini (1988-1991) with scholarships from the Vassilis and Eliza Goulandris Foundation and the P. Bakalas Brothers Public Benefit Foundation.
George Rorris collaborated with the Center for Letters and Arts “Apopsi” (1996-2002) and since 2002 he has been collaborating with the Art Group “Simio”, teaching painting.
Ιn 2001 George Rorris was honored by the Academy of Athens with the Award for young painter under 40 years.
In 2006 the Alexandros S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation awarded him an honorary distinction for his work.
From his first solo exhibition, in 1988 until today, he has maintained a permanent collaboration with the Medusa Art Gallery.
George Rorris works are in private and public collections. He lives and works in Athens.
