Biography of the artist:
Giannis Gaitis was a painter, engraver, sculptor. His famous designs were “Little People”. Also in the mid-twentieth century he painted several bust portraits, oil on canvas, having been influenced by the Italian painter Amadeo Montigliani. These were modern and very successful works, but Gaitis had studied at the School of Fine Arts and the Grande Chaumiere Academy. He held many exhibitions in France and Greece. He was a very good and honest artist!
